HIGH BILL OR ESTIMATED READ

My bill jumped. Why?

A hot month, a space heater, a new charge or an estimated meter read can all make a bill look wrong. Wattaroo helps you read the bill, estimate what one appliance costs to run and find official help to check next.

WHAT WATTAROO DOES FOR THIS

Check the parts before you call.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you call about a high bill.

Why did my bill jump?

Wattaroo cannot say why your bill changed. It can help you read the bill and estimate one appliance. Ask your utility to explain each charge on the bill.

What is an estimated read?

Sometimes a utility bills from an estimate instead of a meter reading. Ask whether your last read was actual or estimated.

Are the costs estimates?

Yes. A running cost is an estimate from the wattage, hours and electricity rate you enter. It is not a meter reading or a guaranteed bill amount.

Can Wattaroo lower my bill?

No. Wattaroo does not guarantee savings. Program providers decide eligibility, availability and any credit amount.

Can I upload my real bill?

Not yet. Real PDF bill uploads are not open in the beta. Try the sample bill to see how a bill is read.
